The Thomas' came to town!

Bryan and Dylan, my cousins from Md, came out west for a visit this month. First we celebrated my mom's bday and then caravaned up to Tahoe for the long weekend (Thank you Dr. King). So the house we stayed in was amazing, but we all had colds so the dry air was a little tough to sleep in. We went on walks in the new village at Northstar and got to hang out with Godmama Mel and Auntie Celine. Scott and I tried to take Thomas out for a walk in the snow but after getting him into all of his snow gear he was so angry he threw a tantrum and wouldn't go anywhere. Matthew was happy to be in the backpack carrier. He fell asleep while we were walking in the field out behind the house. As we were all leaving to go home T wanted to go and play in the snow! Hilarious. . I think the highlight of the trip for Thomas was going out to dinner and eating a bananna split with Dylan! Dylan was a great big brother to both boys, but he was especially captivated by Matthew. Very Cute.

When we got back to home, we went to the Exploratorium. I was surprised by how much fun T had there. I knew Dylan would like it. D worked his way through most of the exhibits and activities. Thomas was obsessed with the echo tube. You can see Bryan and T standing next to it. Bryan and I were just making sure we could see our kids at all times since they were so excited by everything there. I had a great time talking and hanging out with my cousin who has always been like a big brother to me. SO nice. Even Matthew loved it. There was a special infant area where he could crawl and explore, just like the big kids! He wouldn't fall asleep until we went home at 2:30pm! D stayed until it closed!

So now for all the Birthdays that occured through out this month! Happy bday to Karen (Jan7) Cousin Laura (Jan 15), Debbie and Jennifer (BOTH share the 17Jan), Leah (Jan 12) Steve (23rd) and Elena rounds out the month on the 28th! Whoo hoo!
