December 2006

So I am blazing through these very busy months. Both boys are sleeping right now, so I am making the best use of my time! December was great! We set up our fake tree early! Already lit. Nice. You can look on the picture of the tree to see details. Scott and I hadbeen collecting ornaments over the past few years so it was nice to hang them on tree! Scott's fav- Elvis. I also got a cheeseburger and a Reeses' cup candy ornament for by chocolate lover too...I loved all the sparklely ones and the glass ones that flickered on the tree.
December was also the month that my sister-in-law, Mimi, launched her new baby clothing line, SCOUT. Super cute. CC, I wanted to add her site, www.scoutbaby.com to your sustainable gift site, but you know I am not good at that stuff. Anyway you should check it out because her clothes aresuper cute and soft AND Matthew is one of her models! T-Dogg is too big to model the preciousness that is SCOUT.
We also hosted our first Christmas get-together for Scott's family. Lots of lovely people. So the kids opened a kilgillion gifts ate alot of Scott's snickerdoodles and basically had a good time.
Thomas also spent qulality time with his Godmama Mel, and his Auntie Kiliey. Imelda got Thomas a "Coco House" aka gingerbread house. They put it together and decorated it down at her new beautiful house in San Jose. Then later in the week Aunite Kiely came over for dinner and then she and T spent about an hour decorating sugar cookies and watching them rise in the oven. His craftiness didn't stop there has he bedazzled ornaments and construction paper trees and snowmen with glitter, stamps and markers! So much fun...A lot of firsts, even for the big boy, this month.
We also said "Bon Voyage" to Debbie and Mimi who are now living in BKK, Thailand. From the looks of her blog they are safe, and exploring beautiful things. They will be there for 18 months.
Thomas went to his friend Nathan's birthday party which was a lot of fun. They rean all over his apartment complex and then watched a Magician and ate cake. Ohh and there was a pinata in there. Seriously fun. I am thankful to Nathan's mom, Tammy for inviting all of us from MyGym. We are going to meet on Mondays to let our four wild boys play.
December was also beautiful becuse Thomas learned to sing Jingle Bells, a kid after his own mom's heart. We'll see if singing is carried on when he is older. Matthew loved to clang the cymbols together and shake his noise makers to the carols as well. He also jumps as well as Thomas did way back in the day. T gets a little jellous eveytime M gets in the harness.
Matthew, unforutnately had two ear inferctions this month. Not so fun, but he is a trooper.
Christmas was crazy and wonderful. Very tiring. They received a lot of toys from everyone. They also got these sweet matching racing outfits that I will show a picture of later. Too cute. We also got to spend Chistmas with cousin Owen and Cousin Emma, from Austin Texas. Aunite Erin and Uncle Mike were out here for the first time, with kids, to hang out and play. We went to the zoo and saw the reindeer with Little O. So nice
We ended they year with lobster dinner at my mom's house. Thomas refers tothe lobsters and "Monster Crabs." Too funny. So Scott finally opend and consumed our bottle of Cristal, that we recieved as a wedding gift four years ago. Very nice. I hope I spelled it right, because I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't.
Okay! Happy New Year!
